At Twig & Toad, dogs are at the heart of everything we do.

Every recipe is made with care, every ingredient is chosen with purpose, and every order helps us work towards something that means a great deal to us – giving back to dogs who haven't had the easiest start in life.

As our little business grows, so will our ability to help.

Rather than promising a fixed amount from every sale, we've chosen a different approach. Each month, when the business allows, we'll make a donation to a rescue close to our hearts. Sometimes that may be a financial donation, and other times it may be food, medical supplies or items purchased directly from their wish list.

This means we can give what we genuinely can, while ensuring Twig & Toad remains sustainable for the future.

Why We've Chosen an Overseas Rescue

People often ask why we've chosen to support an overseas rescue when there are so many wonderful dogs here in the UK needing homes.

The truth is... they're absolutely right.

The UK has many incredible rescue organisations doing amazing work, and they deserve every bit of support they receive.

Our decision isn't because UK rescues matter any less.

It's because many overseas rescues face challenges on an entirely different scale.

In many parts of the world there are large populations of stray dogs living without regular food, shelter or veterinary care. Many have suffered neglect, injury or abuse before ever reaching the safety of a rescue.

While life in rescue is never perfect anywhere, UK rescue organisations generally benefit from stronger animal welfare laws, more established support networks and greater access to veterinary care and fundraising.

Many overseas rescues work tirelessly with far fewer resources while caring for hundreds of dogs who simply have nowhere else to go.

For us, supporting one of these rescues is our small way of helping where the need can often be greatest.

Twig & Toad is proud to support Pet Pals Gran Canaria.

Pet Pals works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned and unwanted dogs, giving them the opportunity to find loving families across Europe.

The dogs receive veterinary care, food, shelter, rehabilitation and, most importantly, kindness while they wait for their forever homes.

We'll regularly share updates about our donations and the difference your support has helped make.
