At Twig & Toad, dogs are at the heart of everything we do.

Every treat we make is produced with care, every ingredient is chosen with purpose, and as our little business grows, we want to use it to help dogs who need a little extra love, care and support.

Supporting Frenchie & Friends Foundation

Frenchie & Friends Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to helping French Bulldogs in need.

Their work focuses on dogs suffering from health, behavioural or welfare issues, providing rescue homes, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and rehoming to help them find safe and loving forever homes.

But their work isn't just about finding a new home.

Many of the Frenchies arriving into rescue have experienced neglect, health problems, behavioural difficulties or simply haven't had the start in life they deserved. Some need extensive veterinary treatment and rehabilitation before they're ready to begin their next chapter.

Frenchie & Friends Foundation gives these dogs the time, care and support they need to get there.

Why Frenchies?

French Bulldogs are a breed we have a particular soft spot for.

They're funny, affectionate, characterful little dogs — but sadly, their popularity has also contributed to serious welfare problems within the breed.

Frenchie & Friends Foundation works not only to rescue and rehome French Bulldogs, but also to raise awareness of the health and welfare issues associated with the breed.

We love that their work is about more than simply finding homes. It's about education, responsible ownership and helping people understand what life with a Frenchie really involves.

How Twig & Toad will help

Rather than promising a fixed percentage from every sale, we've chosen to give what we genuinely can as the business grows.

When we're able to, we'll make donations to Frenchie & Friends Foundation. These may be financial donations, or we may purchase items they need directly.

Every contribution, however big or small, can help towards things such as veterinary care, food, transport, rehabilitation and the everyday costs involved in caring for rescue dogs.

As Twig & Toad grows, we hope the amount we're able to give will grow with it.

More than just a donation

We also want to help by spreading the word.

We'll share Frenchie & Friends Foundation's work, fundraising activities, rescue stories and ways that other people can help.

Sometimes making a difference isn't about money. It's about sharing a post, volunteering, fostering, donating an item, or simply helping someone understand why rescue matters.

Frenchie & Friends Foundation relies on a community of people willing to help these dogs, and we're proud to be a small part of that community.

Frenchie & Friends Foundation was founded by a group of Frenchie-loving friends who wanted to make a difference to dogs affected by abuse, overbreeding, health problems and surrender.

The charity is registered in England and Wales as Charity No. 1198675 and works across England and Wales.

Their work includes rescue, fostering, veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and rehoming, alongside raising awareness of French Bulldog welfare.
